Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Soliru is one of the elders of his tribe. He wandered onto the tribe's beach at sunset one day, and jumped onto the dragon that found him and refused to get off until brought into one of the caves. Ever since, he has been rather bossy towards those younger than him, but acts with nothing but respect towards the other elders. He patrols the tribe's territory at night, often bringing home strange objects and fruits. He rubbed most of the dragons the wrong way, and remained mateless for a long time. For reasons unknown, a young White dragon named Angyl developed a fondness for him, and he quickly became very protective of her.
