Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

De-Aurora isn't unusually friendly to people. What's weird about her is she doesn't particularly like the company of anything but humans. She spends her days flying in the sky for other humans she seems to like or for her own entertainment. The light of day is miraculous in her eyes, which is why she is always awake from dawn to dusk. Night is a small fear for her because no sunlight can be seen. Humans make a similar light though, so before sleeping she always finds a well-lit place. She has no dragon friend as of now, but maybe in the future, a friend will come along.
