Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

WildGoldMinuria is a lovely Gold Dragon hatchling, and she's been through a lot in her "short" life. When she was very young, she used to be sick most of the time. No one knew what was wrong with her, and her parents were frantic. After a long talk, WildGoldMinuria's father took her to a Clinic in another cave of dragons. She was so sick, WildGoldMinuria had to stay in that Dragon Clinic for a very long time. When she eventually was able to know what was going on, WildGoldMinuria's father was long gone. He had a very long trip back, after all, and he wanted to get back to his mate, WildGoldMinuria's mother. So WildGoldMinuria become the little queen of her cave, any dragon is happy to see her, and she is welcome to stay with any family she wants to visit. Everyone feeds her, everyone keeps her safe.
