Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyropelleya Dorkface FateDrop (after the gemstone: Pyrope Garnet) was the 51st dragon introduced into the clan cave, and perhaps one of the most intriguing so far, as The Clan Mother tells it. As the story goes, she found this egg abandoned and alone, however, just as she reached for it, the tiny eggling disappeared. Sad and unnerved, she sat in the sand, hoping that it would again reappear. A few moments later, and much to her dismay, the egg did, in fact, reemerge, however, quite some distance away. The Clan Mother scurried to scoop her up, but alas, was again an instant too slow, and the egg disappeared. This pattern continued for hours, perhaps a dozen times or more, but the Clan Mothers commitment was not swayed, and eventually, she was able to rescue Pyropelleya from her ordeal. Once back within the confines of the clan cave, it was discovered that she came from a most noble of lines and thus, all believe it fate and destiny that she was to become part of Clan Mystal.
