Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It was due to an unfortunate misunderstanding of what exactly "unleash the hounds" entailed that the younger gang members unleashed Pepe the Chihuahua rather than Doby the Doberman in pursuit of their victim. While this initially caused the runaway lawyer to roar with laughter, mockery soon turned to abject horror as the fact that Pepe the Chihuahua was not, in fact, actually a chihuahua quickly became readily apparent. The only similarity between the two turned out to be a marked fondness for chewing ankles, which for some reason or another made the man suddenly very, very eager to go back to work for his bosses instead of suffering death from the ankles up. Yet the cat wasn't quite as much in the bag as the gang hoped; lawyers are fiendishly clever creatures, and Pepe is quite in love with thick juicy steaks, a series of meaty bribes slowly beginning to turn the alliances of the fiery creature to the Fork Side.
