Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Braxe was just a hatchling, he was brought before the Castle Master to be judged. The human at first seemed kind, but she emitted an aura of warning and mystery to the little dragon. She whispered lies and false truths to him, things which have stuck with the Royal Blue all his life. As he grew, his personality became conflicted, and he struggled with going against his peaceful nature versus what the Castle Master told him to do.

Braxe now leads the Guard in protecting the castle, yet his sense of justice is skewed, and as such, many refuse to go to him with their problems unless it's of the most severe kind. He is obscenely strict and has on more than one occasion gotten into fights with other dragons for overdoing his job. As such, he is riddled with scars and frustrated because really, he just wants to keep the peace.
