Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Life in the Shadowed Mountains can be rough, but living with a pack can help make life easier. Druida joined her pack in the later years of her life after an encounter with a dragon named Racgy. She realized how a pack would affect her life, in the sense that it would make it more secure, and decided to join. At first, her connection with the pack was shallow and only for convenience. However, after awhile, Druida began to enjoy her new connections, and began to accept them as friends. Now, after accepting her role in the pack, she leads hunting groups with a fierce pride and determination to defend and take care of her new family.
