Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Silky Smooth Family is named for his bizarre desire to keep everyone in his clan completely scaleless. His reasoning for this request is unclear, but from his mostly incomprehensible garbling, a fragile strand of logic (if it can so be called) has been found: scaleless dragons are "pure", he says. "Your scales, your showing, are dirt. You show your filth, relieve it, be clean, welcome you into the safe realm, the way our gods have intended it to be. Remove your scales and remove your flesh if it is so commanded." Because he is surrounded by sane dragons, Silky is almost completely ignored, except in times when he meets a dragon so magically challenged that they can't block his constant telepathic stream of nonsense. Silky Smooth Family takes it upon himself to tear every scale from his body as soon as it begins to grow in, leaving him especially isolated from his own kind. His body is covered in scars and scabs from removing scales prematurely and the danger this nakedness puts him in.
