Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sunny Rose seemed to be gentle and sweet, if anything more of a loner. Unknown the the rest of the cave, he uses black magic, powered by the black in between the stars. When he had to pick a mate, he had to choose someone who was already an outcast; Lilly Toes. He was furious when Lilly Toes found out he did magic, and was even madder when she was going to tell. Sunny Rose had to hurt her to make sure she didn't tell. When Lilly Toes had an egg, and then got rid of it to save it from Sunny Rose, Sunny Rose wasn't angry. There were plenty other eggs in the cave he could use. When Sunny Rose is alone, he enjoys drawing the different stages of the moon.
