Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Svirix is the oldest dragon in the care of Unfurled Meadow Dragon Haven. That is not to say, however, that he is the wisest or most mature; he's still just as wild, reckless, and playful as the day he opened his eyes.

Svirix is an average-size male Hellfire Wyvern at approximately twenty-five feet from nose to tail tip and a wingspan of fifty feet. Aside from the scales that are out of alignment on the bridge of his nose, his only notable features are the result of his breed.

On the day Svirix hatched, he got angry with a piece of egg that wouldn't come off and he accidentally scraped off a few of the still-soft scales from his nose. They grew back in awkward directions. The moment he opened his eyes, he started trying to attack everything he saw, and ended up biting off one of the caretaker's fingers. And, to top it all off, on his first birthday, he burnt down three barns because one of the caretakers accidentally kicked him in the face.
