Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Undine Dragons are named for the water spirits with which they share territory. They have close relationships with these spirits, and are able to communicate with them. In exchange for protection and respect of their mutual freshwater homes, laid eggs are often protected by a blessing. This blessing stays with the dragon into adulthood, and with it they gain potent magical abilities. Sometimes when an Undine Dragon becomes very upset, the ground at their feet may frost over or begin to steam. They have also been observed to manipulate water directly, rerouting raindrops or creating puddles from groundwater. Undine Dragons always live near forest pools, streams, or waterfalls. Both genders take equal part in the raising of young and are very good parents—though they may not remain mated after the offspring are grown.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Glivarh hatched out with different scales and strong affinity for magics other than water. As a hatchling, he lacked control, and after a memorable incident involving the accidental smudging of Curiosity's scales with fire magic while playing with the hellfires, he locked himself in the archives and refused to come out until he could control his magic. His mother, Rita, brought him meals and begged him to come back out and at least play with the other hatchlings.
Glivarh refused again and again, and eventually even the ever-patient soulpeace who managed the archives, Illusion's Peace, got fed up with it and kicked him out. Glivarh was surprisingly happy, as if he was waiting for it to happen. He wasn't brave enough to face the world without a bit of persuasion. When the rest of the clan saw his return, they held a celebration, and even Vladimir had a part in the festivities.
Ever since, he's become much more social, and even took a mate, a rather attractive female named Gear.
