White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gentle Nivea Insons Insontis is the chief healer of her clan, and is widely regarded as infallible, though that is not actually the case. Because of her reputation, however, she is often sought out as a mentor by young dragonesses in search of sage advice and a listening ear. She has trained each new White arrival in the clan in the ways of healing magic, recognizing special abilities and assigning her apprentices to specific areas of healing based on their natural skill set. Though Nivea was politically active in her youth, she eventually became disillusioned and now, though she often finds herself called upon to represent the White dragons or the sick in Council meetings, she would much rather stay far away from the frustrating political atmosphere.
