Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Zalktis and his brother, Usins are twins and as alike as two peas in a pod. Two mischievous and  tricky peas, that is. Like most twins, they seem to have the uncanny ability to sense each other's thoughts, allowing them to execute complicated team pranks in almost total silence. They even go so far as to finish each other's sentences. The only way to tell them apart is their wings. Zalktis' are horribly torn from a run in with a feral black dragon as a hatchling. He escaped only with the help of Irpa, who happened to be passing by and is the only one that she won't rip apart at the drop of a hat.

Zalktis is named for the Latvian god of well-being and fertility. He was commonly associated with snakes, especially the Grass Snake, for which he was named.
