Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Whim was, as a hatchling, an obnoxious know-it-all who frequently tore apart tales told by her clan's storytellers. This quickly made her unpopular and, while she did not mind being disliked, she wanted respect and begrudging admiration from most of her fellows, and sought to do this by disproving the proudest storyteller of them all. This was a mistake: That dragon was the clan's own V-GINY, who, while regarded as a nuisance by most dragons, had magical prowess like all of his kind, and thus the means to shut down the annoying Waterhorse once and for all. He cast a spell upon her that altered her appearance, causing the illusion that she was an Undead dragon. One cannot now look at her without seeing decaying body parts and stray sparks of mana, flying off as a side effect of the alleged failed experiment with revival magic. While most of her clan mates know that Whim is not actually an Undead and thus no threat whatsoever, they are happy to use this as an excuse to get away from her.
