Perhaps among the most venerated of dragon breeds is the Zyumorph, a breed whose selfless heroism and strong moral compass are nearly unparalleled by other dragons. Zyumorphs have an innate urge to fend off wrongdoing, and as such, are often sought after in times of peril. Although they are independently quite capable fighters, it is said that their true might is not unlocked until all six Zyumorphs are brought together in times of great duress.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Eri protects scholars who venture into the high alpine peaks in search of wisdom and enlightenment, leading the worthy to hidden cave repositories of ancient scrolls written by those who mastered their sense of self while in isolation. It is well understood that anyone fortunate enough to find these caches of knowledge is expected to make a simple exchange: they are allowed to take one scroll with them to share as they wish, and in return they must leave a scroll of their own epiphanies. Eri finds that these prospective sages often take weeks to document their thoughts, so she keeps the caves well-stocked with food and warm bedding materials. When the new scroll is finished, it is left near the entrance of the cave for Eri to look over, placed next to the scroll the writer wishes to take to the outside world. Should the writing be deemed acceptable, Eri will then cast a spell to unlock the seals of the older scroll, allowing it to leave the cave with the one who has earned it.
