Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It’s learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The first frozen hatchling of all hatchlings, Icuno boasts this title around, as if it were a great honor to be the first one frozen. Bossy and arrogant, this little dragon forces other hatchlings to do her bidding or suffer her sharp bite, a bite worse than her bark. However easy it is for her to push some other hatchlings around, it is not the same with all hatchlings. After a long day of making a poor hatchling fetch her a rabbit or two, Icuno sits on top of her favorite spot—a mossy rock in a hollowed out oak, an iconic and gigantic tree once struck with lightning during one of her father's anger tantrums.
