And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kankuro Sangre is in training to become one of the fierce warrior Hooktalons of EG's Cave. He trains under Gaara Sangre, one of the fiercest Hooktalons in EG's Cave.

Kankuro's being male automatically makes him meeker than his sister, Temari Sangre, and he has little hope to reach the skill and prowess of his teacher. Kankuro's fighting style involves his using his magic to control logs and other natural objects as decoys in battle. This fighting style allows him to attack from a distance and allow Temari Sangre to actually take down the opponent.
