And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A misfit member of The Lost Dragons, he was abandoned as an egg and discovered by Lil Black Dragon who, having a soft spot for forgotten eggs, decided to hatch and care for the egg himself. Named for the type of weather he hatched in, his favorite season of the year is spring, and he loves nothing more then to go out and splash in the puddles during a warm spring rain. While the rest of the group is out causing calamity he prefers to stay back, usually relaxing in the cover of a nearby tree, keeping them in his sights. Vivalie, Aldrovanda, and a few others will often join him as he is relaxing. He sometimes joins the other members in their shenanigans, but very rarely, and he will never harm another dragon.
