It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Sorako was found with a wounded wing at the edge of a small field. Picu was surprised that a dragon could appear in such a beautiful color- a royal shade of purple. Picu took Sorako into the cave that Picu was using as her home. Sorako was cared for daily, and soon was healthy enough to fly. Picu decided it would be best to let the dragon go and led Sorako outside where they would say goodbye. But Sorako wouldn't leave. She wanted to stay with Picu and Red Lily, Picu's eldest dragon. Finally Picu accepted and the dragon was invited as part of the family. Sorako is a calm and mature dragon. She is constantly taking care of other dragons or hatchlings. Not only that, but Sorako is very pleasant to look at. Her golden mane and shimmering purple wings make her appear majestic. She loves watching hatchlings play and usually stays around in the cave, taking care of her home and the dragons that she shares it with. She prefers something calming and relaxing over the excitement of hunting.
