Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It occasionally shoots small puffs of smoke from its nose, like it’s trying to breathe fire.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

RedFieryGypsy is a shy Red Dragon hatchling, which is unusual in a dragon of his species. He is not as shy as to hide in the shadows, but he usually stays toward the back of any crowd and saying nothing unless asked a direct question. RedFieryGypsy is also a little lonely. He doesn't have the courage to go talk to other dragons and thus doesn't have the chance to make a friend. His only friend is a human child known as Jack. Jack is also very shy, usually. But when they bumped into one another, literally. They were both on long solitary walks and came to a small ledge which both were clinging the edge. It was lucky that it wasn't a very tall cliff, because both fell. Neither was hurt, but they got to talking, RedFieryGypsy mentally talking and Jack out loud. They have a lot in common, and are happy friends—despite their two different species.
