Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Always a practitioner of darker magics, Ravenholm was chased from his home cave when he frightened a Winter hatchling to the point of permanent paranoia.

For several years he wandered, often hated or feared for his magics, and it seemed he would never find a friend. His luck changed when he heard the alluring whispers of a far off dragon, and gave up everything: magic, sleep, even food, in his search for her. He eventually found her, an ancient Vampire who called herself The Lady Paine. There wasn't a moment of hesitation to accept when she asked if he could be her servant, her voice, her companion during the long days of summer and frosty nights of winter.

He is now affectionately called her herald, taking offerings of fine meat and eggs from towns after threatening them with the combined force of her hunger and his dark magics.
