Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

SummerGuardian is about as shy as a Guardian Dragon hatchling can be. He still protects his fellow hatchlings, like a normal Guardian hatchling, he is usually too scared to have a simple telepathic conversation with his peers. So, while he participates in games of Red Hover, Tail Tag, and Hide and Squeak with all of the other hatchlings; he rarely mentally talks to them outside of a game. When he isn't playing, he is usually mentally conversing with one or both of his parents—the only two dragons he can telepathically talk to without being nervous. He even gets nervous talking to his brother SilentAutumnDay.
