Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like her namesake, Aphrodite is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful dragons to have ever flown the skies.  Not content to rest on her laurels and be fed by admiring suitors, however, she decided that, as a Valentine dragon, she ought to know something about romance, and has become famous (or infamous) locally for her matchmaking.  Polyamorous herself, though, she has never advocated for dragons to stay in monogamous pairings, which has earned her quite a bit of ire from older dragons who find her preferences to be appalling.  Aphrodite pays them no heed and continues to flit from cave to cave, according to her whims, raising the resulting hatchlings with care.   And if she happens to suggest to one of her children that he or she really ought to go out flying with a certain other dragon, well, those two dragons might find themselves to be amiable companions indeed.
