It is still heavily debated whether the mysterious Aspect of Form is truly a dragon or perhaps a cosmic entity in the shape of one instead. This being is long considered to be the keeper of the physical realm and all of the different forms that matter can take, as evidenced by the continuous phase changes its body shifts through at any given moment. As this Aspect has full dominion over its material body, it can fluctuate seamlessly between states at will; should it be so inclined, it can meld into any accumulation of liquid, merge into solid rock, or pass by as a gaseous cloud, only to reform into its dragon shape when and if desired. However, the Aspect’s focus— the crystalline orb containing writhing electrical plasma atop its skull— remains in this single form at all times, allowing those of keen sight to spy an Aspect of Form’s resting place wherever it has settled.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation.
