Brute Dragons are among the larger dragon breeds. They prefer to live in solitude or small groups, nesting in high, mountainous regions. The only time they openly seek the company of others is during the mating season, when males will fight for the attention of females. The thunderous crash of Brute Dragons butting horns against each other in competition for mates can be heard nearly a mile away.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Maleficent Sif is a very tricksy dragon. Whenever there is a new dragon in the cave, she quickly analyzes them and decides whether she'll like them or not, without even knowing them. She is quick to assume many things and to herself, always is right. Maleficent Sif has a materialistic character and enjoys hoarding gold, precious gems, shiny artifacts, pearls, and much more. Most dragons cannot even go near her stash without a charred muzzle or a sharp laceration. She is very intelligent, like most dragons, but likes to show off. Many of the others don't like to mess with her for risk of her temper and her plotting of revenge. Maleficent Sif believes in "an eye for an eye", and will get her vengeance no matter what. One of her flaws is her greed and she is easily bribed to turn a blind eye or for a piece of secretive information.
