Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
Danger on the Horizon is a guardian dragon hatchling with a keen eye for danger and a unique method of detecting it. Whereas most dragons of his breed merely function as defenders, Danger on the Horizon actively senses any potential hazards before they can even approach. He appears much as any ordinary guardian dragon would, except the fact that he constantly lays his shield-tail flat on the ground. His odd behavior alludes to his hidden ability of using his tail to sense the tremors of approaching danger. This ability makes him extremely useful for helping to protect his clan's expedition teams on excursions into unknown lands, although it does have its limitations. Due to the sensitivity of his tail-sensor, Danger on the Horizon can only detect danger as far away as the horizon, never any closer. As a result of this, he is most often seen gazing at seemingly lifeless places far in the distance, muttering about how "something is approaching us".
