Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Orion Nightmare is the brother of the Nightmare trio on Dragon Isle, but he has taken a darker and more dangerous path. He is part of a clan called the Interludes, which is a highly violent and dangerous group of dragons hellbent on causing destruction and chaos.

Orion is known as a scouter; a dragon that goes off and surveys the area that the clan plans to invade. He is a sneaky, quiet dragon that rarely utters a word.

Despite his frightening occupation and appearance, Orion truly cares about his sisters. He will sometimes check up on them when he has the time. Though the Interludes wish to destroy Dragon Isle and its residents, Orion has expressed his reluctance to do so because of his sisters on the island. Only time will tell if the Interludes will go through with their plan to destroy Dragon Isle.
