Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A Dawn of Dreams looked sorrowfully down into the waking human city. The rest of the dragons were just waking up but A Dawn of Dreams had stayed awake all night, not needing sleep. As the rest of the dragons went about their day she would drop day dreams down on them but most of the time her day dreams weren't welcomed. They would always cause some kind of disaster. The other day she caused a dragon to loose prey. In the human world it was even worse. Her day dreams would cause people to get into car wrecks or even worse. The other dragons had threatened her but she couldn't help it! She was a Day dream dragon and she would stand proud no matter what because sometimes she brought joy and happiness, only sometimes, but she still made the world a brighter place even if the others just looked at the worst.
