Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Although he is the son of clan leader Tamira Brightwing, life in a group has never really suited the freedom-loving Sky Feral. Even as a hatchling, he has always looked beyond the Supernova dragon clan's borders, daydreaming about life with no rules, no responsibilities, no clanmates to bog him down. Disappointed with her son's "disgraceful" interests, Tamira had constantly tried to condition him to follow the ways of the clan dragons, but he has never really listened.

Now, he roams the skies with only his rather distant mate Seyvaro to keep him company from beneath the ocean's surface. Sky Feral was once the partner of the feisty Silversong, but the two of them soon drifted apart as Silversong grew tired of her mate's constant wish to be alone. Though he's left a bad impression on his former family, he his much happier now that he is free.
