Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. The arch-nemesis of the well loved Balloon dragon Harry James Potter, Lord Voldemort has sworn to strike fear into the hearts of all dragons in Dragon Land. To be honest, he would like nothing more than to stick a pin into the overinflated (literally) Harry Potter and bring him back to Earth. After all, in the Dark Lord's rather important opinion, dragons who rely on gas to keep them afloat are not really fit to be flying.

Lord Voldemort's personal quest for glory has led him to terrorize countless hatchlings, and whisper doomsday scenarios into the shells of helpless eggs. Of course, one must note that he does this all behind the back of the mother dragons. Lord Voldemort is not stupid, thank you very much.
