Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

When Kyant was just a little egg, he was sadly dropped and fractured; this accidentally caused him to hatch a little earlier than he should have and when he did hatch, he was much too small. Later on, after he finally matured, he appeared normal; sadly, though, he was soon declared insane. Poor Kyant always murmurs to himself, randomly bursts out laughing, collects sticks and rocks and puts them in random piles before skittering away to observe them, he even will cling to the roof of his cave and stare at anything that moves for hours; the worst of it is, though, that he constantly rambles on about "technology" and how "machines can do the work for you," and even worse, structures "towering above the clouds and made of glass." Poor, poor Kyant.
