Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Ylla Says twins hatched in Lagie's cave at the same time as the Cheese twins and the Water Turp twins. However, where the other two sets of twins are each relatively normal in their own ways, the Ylla Says twins are anything but.

The twins mindspeak a language none of the other dragons have been able to decipher. They seldom speak to any of the other dragons and are generally considered mute. For this reason, they generate a lot of suspicion around the cave and are thought to be evil, cunning and devious, though no one can really explain why they think this about the twins.

No one is able to tell them apart, not even Lagie. Anyone who calls the twins by anything other than 1 or 2 is hissed and scratched at.

2 is just a few minutes younger than 1 and considers himself to be the more handsome of the two.
