This hatchling appears to be... dead?

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

I'm Allergic to Love likes to lie on the cave floor, playing dead. He always hopes some passing dragon will come to his rescue thus paying him more attention than he might usually receive. Often this ploy backfires, as his vampire nature is stronger than his need for attention, and he ends up gnawing the toes of his would-be rescuer. This usually doesn't go over well so he has never been rescued by the same dragon twice.
