Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Redundant Oath is old, even by dragon standards. So old, in fact, that he has never been documented to leave his own cave, or even move from the spot where he lies, wings spread and tail curled protectively around—well, nobody can remember exactly. Moss has begun to grow on his wings and come spring, birds will often nest in his horns.

It is tradition among the surrounding human settlements to bring him food and offerings, as he is revered among the people of the surrounding lands, not akin to a God or divine being, but rather a warrior or veteran who has done a great service to his people—though what exactly he has done, no-one can recall.

There are reports of several folk of different generations who claim to have seen what Redundant Oath is protecting, and so far none of these descriptions seem to contradict each other.

"It's just skeletons", one of these alleged eye witnesses has claimed, "just two skeletons, holding each other."
