Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One of the group of Avatars of Change that are rumored to make their home in the JavaTiger Clan's territory, Meariadine answers to Rezemess, the leader of the little band. Creatures of remarkable magical power, the Avatars of Change are said to represent the balance and constantly shifting nature of the natural world. Though many seek them out, these remarkable dragons are often quite secretive, keeping their own council. Meariadine, as one of two female assistants of Rezimess, is tasked with keeping her male counterparts in line... a task she takes very seriously. One thing is for certain, however.... it is an article of faith among that clan that if one Avatar of Change sighted is an omen of change, and should the avatars be out in FORCE it certainly portends some massive change of foot, whether for good or for ill. Therefore, it is the law in the clan that ANY Avatar sightings are to be reported to the court immediately.
