It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Abnormal walks around purring like a happy wildcat through the cave. She rubs up against all the males, especially CC Fiduciary, and distracts them from their work. Only Annoying Brat ignores her now and that makes her quite angry. Ever since he fathered her one purple daughter, Annoying Brat has avoided Abnormal as much as he can. One day, she hopes that she will be honored again with him hunting for her for mating season so she might be able to bear golden children for him. She is proud of the purple daughter they share, but she always desires more. <br/>Abnormal is cautious about her actions around Crazy, the dark green dragon who is the clan mother, though. If she is not careful Crazy may put her on patrol duty to make sure the territory of the clan is safe. If that happens, CC Fiduciary, the clan's guardian dragon, may be the only mate available, and he refuses all female contact after not being able to father Crazy's eggs for many many mating seasons.
