Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mysteria has had anything but humble beginnings. Starting like any other dragon as an egg, she was abandoned by her original master for an unknown reason. A second master then took her in until she hatched and determined that they'd rather have a "this egg matches the weather outside" egg or autumn dragon. Poor Mysteria unnamed at the time was abandoned once again as the master was not able to bear the load of another egg or hatchling. So Mysteria was abandoned at the front of the cave entrance. A few hours later Mysteria was taken under the wing of her current master. There her third master, despite having too many female black dragons, decided that Mysteria has had a tough life, and made the choice to let her live and grow up. Despite her rough past, Mysteria has warmed up to other other dragons in the pack, and would do anything to please. She can often be cold and aloof however, which can result in her having temper tantrums every once in a great while.
