Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nessie Monster O' Loch Ness is a very endearing dragon! She lives in the nearby ocean, which is in the same area as her owner's other dragons. Even though she doesn't often go out of the water, she will just so she can go see her friends. Whenever her owner has a visitor, Nessie will usually follow them around or smile at them often. Since she more adapted to the water, when she goes on land she will immediately find the little fresh water pool by the waterfall and hang out there. Nessie's 'sister', as she calls her, is Ogopoga. She always treats her like a little sister, playing and talking, and taking care of her. They enjoy spending many hours with each other, and are almost inseparable unless she wants to spend time with her 'husband', Lrrtok. Nessie's favorite toy is a little beach ball that she either tries to balance on her head, or that she will bounce around on her tail.
