Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Ganboru has a knack for keeping hatchlings entertained, even if all he really does is count them every now and then to make sure no one's gone missing. Since his older siblings ask him to babysit so often, he's taken to keeping a large basket of treats and treasures handy at all times. His favorite activity to host is scavenger hunts, particularly in forest meadows full of tall grass where he can scatter snacks and small sparkly stones and watch his younger siblings pop in and out of the swaying green blades as they search. The grateful parents are always happy to donate food and trinkets to the hatchling playtime basket, so Ganboru is never short of supplies for babysitting.
