Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crypt Watcher is a stone dragon who is very obsessed with the death of mortals. He often stands guard at various cemeteries around the world and investigates all the different headstones, and reads about the people that are buried below them. It is unknown why Crypt Watcher is so into death, but legend has it that it is because with him being a dragon and hence nearly immortal it is a fact that he may never experience death himself. It also explains why Crypt Watcher doesn't bother to make friends with anybody but others of the dragon kind because he does not wish to go through the constant pain and suffering of losing somebody. Considering the fact that Crypt Watcher himself cannot die, he would never get to see his mortal friends again.
