Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Daystar the Second, or Daystar for short, is a very active frozen hatchling, and is up for hours of the week, spending his boundless energy on things like helping the Order of the Blue Stars or playing with Frozen Lunar Eclipse. He lives happily with her and Dark Apparatus, his unofficial sister and brother. He also considers Hope Flight to be his mother, and Night Jay his father. Daystar likes to spend the nights he's up "battle training", or batting leaves out of the sky and tackling random dragons older than him. During the day, though, he loves to go out hunting for himself, and sometimes he takes other frozen hatchlings along.
