Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

It’s gotten slightly bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Scatter Rush is the scout and sentinel of the Firewind dragon clan. Like most of her breed, she is a shy creature that is docile and rather alert to what is going on around her. For this reason the Firewind uses her as a sentinel- at the first sign of danger, she darts back into the cave and brings the group to attention. She's one of the fastest hatchlings around, even outracing some of the slower adults. Though she is timid and shy like hatchlings of her kind and doesn't tend to fight attackers, Scatter Rush does her job as sentinel well, peeking out around the surroundings from behind a pile of rocks. Her job as sentry has given her heightened hearing and smell, enabling her to locate faraway enemies that the naked eye can't see. She is named Scatter Rush for her ways of alerting the group to danger: she'll rush into the cave, yelling the name of the enemy, causing some dragons to scatter and make way.
