Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A land of perpetual storms, it was like something from legend, or from nightmare; a place where magic and meteorology met in a volatile mix, rolling hills and mute forests covered at all times by the darkness of a tempest, with only the endless roar of lightning above to provide light. Many dire beasts and strange tribes made their homes within that shade, but the brave and curious who went to investigate them often met a more familiar threat long before they encountered a new one. The bellows mixed with the scream of thunder, and the shadow of wings was lost in the shadow of the storm, until he was upon them--a thunder dragon of massive size, surges of light crackling around his claws and destroying whatever unfortunate targets he directed the bolts at. Thankfully, however, these targets were never the adventurers themselves; finding amusement in startled terror rather than true malice, his lightning flicks past them to seek out only his real targets: the local beasts.
