Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crimson Lusters egg was found on a stormy night by Savier when she was looking for a lost hatchling. Savier took the strange egg back to the cave and showed it to the clan elders. They said it was a vampire egg and to go put it back. But Savier didn't want to put the egg back, so she took it to her cave with Guardian Chief. Soon the egg hatched. It would sleep all day and at night she would go sit outside the cave. Soon she made many friends, she was so nice and she never once tried to bite any of the hatchlings. But as she grew older, she realized that all her friends were not growing older. She soon found out that they were frozen hatchlings and she grew sad. As she grew into an adult, she grew apart from her adoptive mother and father. She lived on the outskirts of the clan, but she always stayed faithful to them. She would attack and warn the clan if any enemies threatened their safety. Crimson Luster is a very good natured, friendly, and protective dragon.
