Hellhorse Dragons are foul-tempered, spirited creatures with tempestuous and violent dispositions. Torrents of scorching flames erupt from their bodies and can easily set their surroundings ablaze. Highly aggressive and territorial toward other dragon species, Hellhorses will tolerate others as long as they believe the association to be beneficial. Such alliances are tenuous in nature and frequently short-lived, as the slightest disagreement can easily escalate into a full-out brawl.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sumana is a daughter of Yasei and Meriki, who love their daughter dearly, despite her foul temperament. Her name means "Good Natured" in Hindi, which was really just wishful thinking on her parents part. Sumana has always had a nasty temper, and is not really pleasant to be around. Basically none of the other dragons enjoy her company; her parents try because they love her, but it's hard. The only dragon who Sumana really gets along with is her mate, Sanjit. Together they are quite a nasty force to reckon with. All flames, snorting, and thunderous hooves crashing down. The only ones who can really keep the two of them in line are the valleys protectors, and Remy. Sumana and Sanjit are both very wary of Remy, since they're convinced that the tiny human possesses dark magics that could potentially harm them. Regardless of their hatred for everyone and everything else, Sanjit and Sumana truly do love each other. They're both mean as snot, but they're meant for each other.
