Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Whiteling is a small town dragon who is very quiet and curious. He can often be seen slipping out of his cave to explore more of the country he lives in. He keeps a journal, and although it is encoded and written in dragon script, a few parts of it have been able to further humans' understanding of the world around them, as well as a few dragon psychology riddles that have plagued a few experts for years. He keeps all of his shed scales in a chestnut box inlaid with mother of pearl rune carvings.

He lives close to a forest so he can find things for his line of work; a cook. He isn't very good at it yet, but he still can make a living for just himself. That is the reason he hasn't tried to find a mate yet, although he is interested in a Royal Blue Dragon named Acolyte of Stars. They live close to each other, but they both keep to themselves. One of his best recipes is called 'Dragon Scale Soup.' For this, he uses Cheese dragon shavings!
