Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Whyppprsnapppr is one of the clan's most annoying whiptail dragons. In fact most of the clan wish he had never joined them. This is because he spends virtually all his time snapping and cracking his whip-like tail at anything and everything that moves. He got in the habit as a hatchling playing tag-you're-it and has never stopped since. This annoys the rest of the clan dragons most severely, not just because they hate getting whipped by his tail. They could tolerate that. What annoys them most is that he doesn't just whip adult dragons he whips everything. They can't begin to count the number of hatchlings he's whipped with his tails and that is why they wish he'd just go away and never come back.
