Brute Dragons are among the larger dragon breeds. They prefer to live in solitude or small groups, nesting in high, mountainous regions. The only time they openly seek the company of others is during the mating season, when males will fight for the attention of females. The thunderous crash of Brute Dragons butting horns against each other in competition for mates can be heard nearly a mile away.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ever since she was a small dragon, Bruta couldn't help but feel she was different. Her egg was found by Korrj and taken to their cave, as she had been apparently abandoned by her parents.

After hatching, she immediately showed signs of being violent and forceful, like Brute Dragons should be, but compared to others of her kind, she was mild.

She also got along surprisingly well with her nestmates. Especially with Ruusu.

However, in her teenage years she became more rash and hot-headed. She'd snap at anyone for anything and soon her bad temperament led to her getting into fights with neighbooring dragons. She'd become a violent mess and soon grew to forget how to control herself or her strenght. The culminating point being her assault on her nestmate Ana after a nasty argument.

Hard times for everyone involved, but thanks to Korrj and Ruusu's patience and help from everyone else she managed to get a hold of herself.

She still has trouble with her anger sometimes, but she manages.
