Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Despite her beauty and vivid colors, Rise is quite the depressing creature. She has a melancholy aura to her and always seems upset. She tends to isolate herself from others, and any conversation she does engage in tends to turn sour quickly. All of this seems to stem from her status as a trophy mate for Staccato Solarmelody, the famous operatic Sunsong. She and her sister, Set, grew up with nothing in their lives, save for their beauty. In a desperate attempt to create a better life for themselves, the two paired with Staccato. While he does give them a nice home, his treatment of them is less than adequate. He sees them only as pretty treasures to flaunt to others. Now, the two are left to contemplate their decision. While Rise may be reclusive, she is not bitter or aggressive. She'll even go out each morning, if the weather is right, to bathe in the morning sun. It is her one, true joy she has left, and she cherishes it as much as possible.
