Pyrovar Dragons live at high altitudes in areas with lots of volcanic activity. They are commonly associated with geysers and hot springs and enjoy soaking in the scalding water. Females bury their eggs in these areas warmed by geothermal energy and abandon them soon after. As a result, these dragons are territorial and solitary from a young age. Despite their affinity with water they have powerful flame breath and fire magic. They are entirely carnivorous and utilize a variety of hunting styles, from chasing down prey from the air to lying in wait beneath the water’s surface to ambush any unwitting creatures that wander by.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Blazing is a very active, rather aggressive Pyrovar. He has a notoriously short temper. Even slight annoyances can set him off like a powder keg. But what really gets him angry is anyone bothering his mate, Conleth. For a Pyrovar, Blazing is quite attached to his mate and seeks to defend her from anyone and everyone who dares to hurt or even just mess with her. This overprotective behavior does cause some strife in their relationship, since Conleth insists she is more than capable of handling herself. Ultimately, while the two can get into spats, they never stay angry at each other for more than a few hours and are usually good about making up. However, with Blazing's limited intelligence and impulsive nature, he does tend to keep making the same mistakes and getting into the same sort of fights with Conleth repeatedly. Blazing is not a very intelligent dragon. He is highly impulsive and relies solely on instinct to guide him. He typically ignores common sense and logic.
